My projects focus on documentary photography from all around the world. I try to capture everyday life and contemporary culture in unique, remote, and interesting places.
People flash you by. Eyes are met. Events unfold. And disappear. You’re in the middle of everything. Or lost in the suburbs. The contrasts of life become eminent when you travel the world. This project is a collection of documentary photos from all around the world. It captures daily life as it manifests itself for the passing traveller. From villages in Myanmar and alleys in Delhi to beaches in New Zealand and weekend play in Beirut.
The former republics of the Soviet Union; Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan, are referred to as “the Stans”. As one of few regions in the world still relatively unexplored, it spans over ancient cultures, remote living nomads, and dramatic nature. From the Karakum Desert and the Tian Shan to the old Silk Road cities of Khiva, Bukhara, and Samarkand.
